Question
I am a commerce graduate. Is there a direct-entry route that avoids Foundation?
Answer
Yes: graduates can skip Foundation and join Intermediate through the Direct Entry Route. Commerce graduates and post-graduates need a minimum of 55% marks; graduates and post-graduates in other streams need 60%. Intermediate-level pass candidates of ICSI (CS) or ICMAI (CMA) are also eligible for direct entry. Final-year graduation students can register provisionally and then sit the Intermediate exam after completing graduation with the required marks and an 8-month study period. Whichever route you take, you still register for both Intermediate groups, complete 2 years of articleship and the IT and soft-skills training before progressing to Final.
