I am still in school. When can I register, and when is my first eligible attempt?

You can register for the Foundation Course after passing Class 10, but your first eligible exam attempt is only after appearing in your Class 12 exams. Early registration after Class 10 just secures your place; you cannot sit the Foundation exam until you have appeared for Class 12 from a recognised board. You also need to be registered for at least four months before the first day of the exam month. Foundation exams are held three times a year (January, May and September), so timing your registration against those cut-off dates matters.
