Validity, renewal and penalty
The registration certificate remains valid until it is revoked or the business is closed (by furnishing Form 16 to the Inspector). A fee of 50% in excess of the registration fee is payable after every five years. Where a renewal is required, the application should be made at least two months before expiry; a late renewal attracts an additional 25% of the fee. Registration must be completed within 30 days of commencing work.
