Gift deed stamp duty in Andhra Pradesh

In Andhra Pradesh, a gift to a family member attracts 2% stamp duty; a gift to others attracts 5%. The registration fee is 0.5% (minimum ₹1,000, maximum ₹10,000).

When and how to pay

  • In Andhra Pradesh the duty is paid via e-stamping or franking. A gift of immovable property must be made by a registered deed signed by the donor and attested by two witnesses to be valid.
  • Stamp duty and the registration fee are both calculated on the property's market value as per the State circle / ready-reckoner rate.
