Is trading income taxed as capital gains?

No. Intraday and F&O trading profits are business income taxed at your slab rate, so advance tax is payable across all four instalments (not with the capital-gains proviso relief).

When do traders pay advance tax?

If your total tax exceeds Rs.10,000, pay 15% by 15 June, 45% by 15 September, 75% by 15 December and 100% by 15 March.
